The 10,000 Hours Show is designed to engage local young people in central Iowa through volunteer service at local nonprofits and also to produce a free concert that is just for those volunteers who serve 10 or more hours of service to encourage and recognize their service.
Through these efforts, The 10,000 Hours Show mobilizes young people to help meet immediate community needs through volunteering and helps develop the next generation of active community leaders.
The 10,000 Hours Show of Central Iowa is a partnership of the United Way of Central Iowa, the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service, Iowa State University, and Drake University. It is run by student volunteers at Iowa State and Drake.
